Being healthy is critical for caregivers. Living a healthy lifestyle ensures you are able to operate at 100% for your family, and most of all for yourself. Caregivers are susceptible to Caregiver Syndrome, which is a condition that consists of exhaustion, anger, rage, or guilt that results from unrelieved caring for a chronically ill dependent.
We want to share our journey to healthy with you. Hopefully, you will find some tips that will help you live your best life now. Also, please feel free to share any thoughts you have on living a healthy lifestyle.
Hello everyone! It’s been a minute since my last post. But, I’ve been taking some time to get my life together. No literally, I’ve been getting my life together . I’ve been spending the past few months focusing on traveling and self-growth. So, I couldn’t help but drop in and share the amazing brand that I’ve been blessed to try. prAna is built on the mission of inspiring healthy, active and free-spirited living.
prAna's ultimate goal is to provide sustainable clothing to everyone, and that their clothes can be worn "from city streets to mountain peaks". It's all about being fashionable, comfortable and versatile. That was right up my alley. My life has been all about adventure this year. So, I definitely need some clothes that can go bold with me into the light! On top of that, all of their clothes are made with organic cotton or of hemp. Plus, prAna also uses other recycled materials in their clothes. Sustainability is super important to the planet and me. Check out this video on prAna's commitment to hemp & organic cotton
I was able to try the White Copa Mika Top (similar) and the Cobalt Deco Capri Leggings in an XXL. As a woman with hips and thighs, I was a little nervous about how this was going to work out. But, I was pleasantly surprised by how well these pieces hugged my curves.

I fell in total love when I slipped on the Deco Capri leggings. They fit my “playground” (hips and thighs) like a glove. The compression gave me all the feels ever in life.
The White Copa Mika Top is really nice and has a solid tank sewn in to create a smooth look. But, I did find that it didn’t cover my side boob that well. I wear a size H/I bra, so I know it’s not easy to find blouses that can contain “my girls”. But, that wouldn’t stop me from rocking this top. It’s light and super comfortable.
I can’t tell you how excited I was to find out that prAna has trendy and sustainable workout gear that fits plus sizes. I can’t stop wearing this outfit. I’ve already worn it twice since this posted. So, it holds up great through washes. I would totally recommend you check out prAna & to make it that much easier for you to buy something, use my coupon code S17BLPD for 15% off. Click here NOW!
Until we meet again!

I hope your week is starting off great so far! I'm so glad that Hurricane Matthew has left us unharmed in Orlando. We're so blessed that storm took a tilt. But, I'm definitely heartbroken for everyone being impacted by Hurricane Matthew in the Caribbean and the Carolinas. Prayers up to them! With all of the craziness of the storm, work and family. I haven't had a chance to catch up with you. So, I had to take a quick moment to share my latest experience, CycleBar.
CycleBar is a premium indoor cycling experience that has been in business since 2004. They have a six point mission statement to ensure you have the best experience and workout ever.
Create a fun and accessible experience for riders of all ages and fitness levels.
Ensure every CycleBar ride is an unparalleled multi-sensory, intoxicating journey.
Hire and retain the very best people.
Fuel each ride with amazing music, energy-enhancing video graphics and rider-specific performance data in a state-of-the-art CycleTheatre™.
Deliver concierge-level service and an exhilarating experience that goes far beyond a great cardio fitness workout.
Rock the ride, each and every time.
CycleBar Winter Park totally delivers on these points. From the ease of setting up your account online before you come, to going in and having them provide shoes, lockers, water, fruit, scrunchies, and wipes. CycleBar Winter Park really takes care of you. I had never done a cycling class on this level (Being locked in your pedals), so I was a little apprehensive. But, they were patient and understanding. They also reassured me it was about having a good time versus trying to be the top of the leaderboard.
Yes, they have leaderboards in the cycle theater. It's like a cross between a night club, and a torture chamber (just kidding). Just image great music, lights down low and you jamming/cycling to the beat. It's a great workout, and I'm glad I did it. Sometimes you need to try the things that are going to push you to be your best self, and then make you want to come back for more.
So, definitely check out CycleBar Winter Park, if you're in Orlando. There are no contracts, pay as you ride. Plus, the service and environment is top shelf. They have great specials going on. I hope to see you in the theatre soon. Thank you Central Florida Lady Bloggers for setting up our intro test ride, I will definitely be back!
Hello everyone! Sorry, that I’ve been gone for so long. But, I've been super busy with "life" . Plus, my “favorite” and only sister just graduated from college. But, in between all of the craziness, Nubian Heritage blessed me with an opportunity to review the African Black Soap collection, and I’m in love. So, let me tell you all about it!
Happy Sunday everyone! I'm sure you're winding down preparing for the week to begin. Sorry, about the late post. But, I just got back from Diva St. Augustine. In St. Augustine, FL. It was amazing, and extremely hard at the same time. I've never been around so many wonderfully supportive people, all striving to achieve their goals. It's primarily a "race for the ladies". But, it was great to see men out there participating and cheering on the women they loved. Some ladies completed the 5K (3.1 miles), or the half-marathon (13.1 crazy miles!!).
I did the 13.1 miles, and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. But, I learned some valuable lessons on the journey today, that I know will help as we move forward to living our best lives. There are lessons all around you, make sure you're open to experience them.
TGIF everyone! There are 28 minutes left in my favorite day of the week, and I wanted to make sure before I go to sleep that I take a moment to check in. Did you discover your "mantra" last night? I really hope you'll decide to do a "new thing", and speak over your life in a different way. I know it can be overwhelming. But, remember every step you take, no matter how small is a step closer to living the life you want! I decided to try a "new thing" this year, and this weekend I'm going to achieve one of my "bucket list" goals. I'm going to do my first half-marathon.
