The Most Valuable Lesson I’ve Learned From Caregiving: LIVE!!!!

I can’t believe I’m going to be Forty-Two on Wednesday. I’m so thankful for another year, another opportunity to get it right. I guess God still sees purpose in me cool.

As I think about this new chapter unfolding before me. I think about how my life has changed so much from my Thirties. I was Thirty-Seven when my father passed away, and my mom came to live with my sister and I. We were traveling and living life like any two single women with no children would. We were ready to take on the world. Then, it all changed in a matter of three hours.

But, fast-forward to almost five years later and I feel more alive now then I did then. I never would’ve imagined being able to say that then. I thought my life, as I know it was over. I felt trapped, and couldn’t see the future in front of me. All I could see was fear, pain, and resentment. Thank goodness that was only False Evidence Appearing Real (FEAR).

Small Acts of Compassion Can Change The World

1000 Voices For Compassion

Compassion is such a loaded word. When you hear the word compassion, you always tend to think of the images that flash across our television screens at times of homelessness or poverty. There are so many moments that inspire us to help each other. But, what if I told you that compassion doesn’t just exist on such a large scale? What if I told you compassion can and needs to exist in our everyday life? Would you be able to recognize and implement it?

Vision Is Not Just About A Board For Caregivers

Happy New Year! We made it! I’m so excited about all of the things that 2015 can hold for all of us. I’m almost done with my vision boards. I think I went a little overboard with three. But, I needed to organize my thoughts a little better smile .

As a caregiver, I tend to think so much about my mom and sister; that I’m all over the place when it comes to goal setting for myself. Does anyone else ever feel that way? I’m blessed that I was able to do a lot in 2014. But, I know that if I want to do extraordinary things in 2015. I have to be willing to do something I’ve never done before. So, that means I need to put some “vision” to my goals.

Now believe me, I don’t want to add anything extra to your plate or mine. Our plates are “super full”. But, having something to focus on is motivating. It may even be that one thing that can lift you up when times get hard.Caregiver

Day 24-Preparation and Planning

8 Days to Balance and Fulfillment in 2015

Well, we’ve almost made it. It’s almost 2015. Are you feeling balanced and fulfilled yet? Don’t laugh, I know it’s not that easy. I wish we could read posts and magically have it all together smile. But, I know it takes a little more work than that. I just hope I’ve given you a little help along the way. I truly believe that when I encourage someone else, I’m encouraging myself. So, know this is not a one sided conversation. With that said, let’s dive into one area that I always need help with, preparation and planning.
