Happy Thursday everyone! I apologize about missing my post yesterday. I had to take a “timeout. I needed to rest, recharge, and think about how I wanted to approach a very important part of our journey to balance and fulfillment in 2015. Let’s talk about forgiveness.
Forgiveness is one of the most challenging things for people to do. It’s also something; I’ve really struggled with. I have carried my share of guilt over my feelings of resentment about being a caregiver. Contrary to what people believe, there are not many of us who aspire to have this role.
Hello! How are you doing? I’m just sitting down at 9:13pm to type this post, and I’m tired and excited . This has been a crazy day. It’s always amazing to me what we can do when we set our mind to accomplishing certain tasks or goals. Since I left work at 5:40pm; I’ve run an errand for my mom, stopped by the grocery store, made myself dinner (falafels and hummus #VeganYummy in my Tummy ), cooked dinner for tomorrow, flat twisted my hair, bonded with my mom & sister, and now sit in bed typing up this post. All I can say is, “caregivers rock!” These are the moments that remind me of how much we do, and inspire me to devote time to being balanced and fulfilled.
When I completed the first day of Oprah’s Live The Life You Want Tour, I was so excited that I couldn’t wait to go to sleep, and get back up again for the next day. Have you ever had one of those moments where you were so filled with anticipation to see what the next day held, that sleep was the last thing on your mind? You were just ready for the next opportunity to feel or experience that moment again. I didn’t realize then how befitting that feeling was going to turn out to be.
I’m so excited to be sitting here typing up my recap from Oprah’s “Live The Life You Want Tour”.First, I must thank God for the opportunity to attend. It was truly him that gave me access to this awesome event. Secondly, I must tell you “I got my life”. I got my life, and so much more out of this event. There is just so much that I have to share with you, and I need to let you know this is probably going to be a three-part recap.
I’ve thought about it, and I can’t squeeze the “most amazing two days of my life” into one post. I want to do this justice, and make sure I'm sharing all of the "gifts" I received this weekend. You know Oprah is known for her generosity. But, the way she “poured” into us this weekend, no amount of money will ever compare.
So, let’s begin with day 1, and the great Oprah Winfrey!
